IvyInside jewelry is design jewelry, and not "fine jewelry". The difference is that I create my pieces with affordable, guilt-free components like plated metals rather than high cost materials like solid gold and diamonds.

Design jewelry won't last forever, but you can minimize signs of wear by practicing proper care, and just know that tarnishing is a sign of loved jewelry and is normal. <3
Why Does Jewelry Tarnish?
All jewelry is capable of tarnishing, but some pieces may tarnish faster than others. Over time, your jewelry comes in contact with moisture, acids, oils and air. All of this reacts with the metal and causes it to wear down.

How quickly this happens depends upon different factors such as, the way you care for the jewelry, your skin composition, and the air around you.
